When my father committed suicide in June of 2020, I realized how severely the stigma of mental health impacts our community. I have always dreamed of working in the medical field, but this tragedy awakened something deeper in me. Being able to make a difference in someone’s life is an indescribable opportunity, and one I would welcome every day as a psychiatrist. I'm currently pursuing my undergraduate degree at Arizona State University and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the accelerated Masters program. I will attain my Bachelor's degree in May 2025, followed by my Master's degree the next year.
