When my father committed suicide in June of 2020, I realized how severely the stigma of mental health impacts our community. I have always dreamed of working in the medical field, but this tragedy awakened something deeper in me. Being able to make a difference in someone’s life is an indescribable opportunity, and one I would welcome every day as a psychiatrist. I am a part of the 4+1 accelerated program at ASU, which has allowed my to pursue my bachelor's and master's degree at the same time. I graduated undergrad in May of 2025 with a semester of graduate school completed with a 3.7 GPA. I will obtain my Master's in May of 2026.
