I am a first-generation college student and come from a low-income family. My father works as a Child Care Provider and is working hard to pay six family members. My parents do their best to save and manage the money so they can support my sister who is attending a four-year university. However, it is very challenging to support two members who are willing to attend a four-year university with a major in biology. I challenged myself to learn English and enroll in competitive courses so I can be involved in AP courses. I managed to maintain almost all A's throughout my high school career and have a 4.2 GPA. I plan to study Biological Sciences at CSUSM. I love being part of the medical pathway and becoming a pediatric. Every day I get inspired to help people in any way possible especially using the beauty of science.

  The Resident Leadership Academy (RLA) is an internship that will give you the knowledge and skills you need to become health leaders in your community. Participants will receive a Resident Leadership Academy manual that is aligned with the Live Well San Diego vision. Participants who complete all sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion from Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) and The County of San Diego.
