I am planning to go back to school to pursue a career as a therapist. My primary goal is to work with under-served communities, specifically the LGBTQIA+ community, drug users, and sex workers. I have first-hand experience in all of these communities, which puts me in a great position to carry out this work. I believe that sharing our stories is a powerful way to break down stigma and shame. To this end, I hope to create a program that enables individuals in these communities to do just that. I intend to use my arts background to help people find the medium that allows their voices to be heard. I have already completed most of the credits needed for a bachelor's degree in Social Work and plan to finish this degree before pursuing a Master's degree to become a certified therapist.
