My educational goals are to obtain a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I plan to use this degree to pursue a career in writing about my experiences and how I have overcome them with the hope that it will help others who are struggling with the same hardships. I am dedicated and passionate to serving others and my community to promote healing and hope from trauma, domestic violence, and substance abuse. I serve others through my church which mostly services the homeless community, membership in three different recovery programs, and as a member of an organization that helps those who have been victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. I would be eternally grateful to obtain any scholarships which would help me to reach these goals.
