Every story has a turning point, and mine began when I encountered Jesus Christ. Before that moment, I was overwhelmed by crippling anxiety, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts. I reached a point where I felt completely broken, and during one of the lowest moments of my life, I cried out to God. In that moment, I experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit in a way I cannot fully put into words. That encounter changed the direction of my life forever. It didn’t make every struggle disappear overnight, but it gave me hope, purpose, and a reason to keep moving forward. Since then, my relationship with Christ has transformed every area of my life. I approach my education with greater discipline because I now understand that my abilities are gifts that should be developed and used to serve others. My relationships with family, friends, and those around me have also changed. Instead of living for myself, I strive to show compassion, patience, and grace, knowing that everyone is fighting battles that may not be visible. My faith has also shaped the future I want to build. My goal is to become a forensic psychologist, studying the minds and behaviors of criminals to better understand what led them to make the choices they did. While I believe people should be held accountable for their actions, I also believe that true change begins within the heart. I hope to help people recognize the harm they have caused, confront the deeper issues behind their actions, and encourage genuine transformation rather than simply serving a sentence without growth. Beyond my career, I want my life to point people toward the same hope that rescued me. I don’t want to force my beliefs on anyone. Instead, I want to live in a way that reflects Christ’s love and opens the door for meaningful conversations. If someone is struggling with anxiety, loneliness, hopelessness, or feels like they have no purpose, I want them to know there is hope because I have lived that reality myself. The turning point in my story was not simply overcoming hardship, it was discovering a relationship with Jesus Christ that gave my life new meaning. That experience continues to shape the student I am, the person I strive to become, and the future I am working to build. No matter where my career takes me, my greatest goal is to use both my profession and my life to serve others with compassion, integrity, and the hope that changed mine.
