Champions Of A New Path Scholarship
I deserve this scholarship because I have an intense love for education. Not even necessarily academic. I need to know new things all the time. In the past year alone I've learned about the intricacies of professional basketball and football, starting playing more myself, starting songwriting, picked up drums, and started working in pharmaceuticals, all apart from school. So while I'm most likely not the brightest person on earth, I like to keep my mind sharp through a wide variety of different topics that I learn more about every day. I like to think of myself as a polymath, though the term has gotten quite outdated. I would love to keep learning more through school, but finances make that a big issue as it is almost impossible to be a full time student and work full time, on top of the fact that even working full time isn't enough to pay for college. I ask you to consider my application to financially support my young mind and my drive for more knowledge.

Nothing will ever top the intense competition and staying power of New Super Mario Bros Wii. It is an intense rapid-fire experience of yelling and laughing with one another when playing with multiple players and is a better game when played with many people. The moments of intense chaos are always the best, when Bowser becomes enormous in the final boss battle is always awesome. Trying to navigate the wake of his destruction and keeping the whole team together requires precise communication and skill, but in my family's case it was more so yelling at each other and lots of trial and error. Another level that is a favorite among my family is the level where Yoshi is first introduced, with everyone scrambling to get the color of Yoshi they wanted, I was always partial to the classic green Yoshi. Anyway, the level was always a fun time jumping around, and all 4 players competing to get as many of the apples as possible to feed their Yoshi. Keeping all 4 players on the screen without leaving me in the dust is something my family always struggled with. My family must have gotten the game around 2010, when I was only 4 years old. Naturally, watching my family play this game with each other was one of my earliest memories. another distinct memory is trying (and failing) to play alongside my family at a very young age. But I eventually got better and was playing on pace with my sister and cousins in no time. Every time my cousins came over to visit it was our go-to game to play, since my cousins lived about 15 minutes away this was frequent. But that didn't last forever. My uncle got a new job, so my cousins and he had to move over 2 hours away from our house. Visits became much less frequent but my cousins bought their own Wii and a second copy of the game so whenever they visited we could play at their house, and when they visited we could play at our house. It was the way that we were able to stay close to each other, and since we didn't have smartphones, those moments together were all we had. It kept us close through the hard times and is still a fun game to play today, even with all the new versions of the game and new consoles always in flux, my favorite still has to be New Super Mario Bros Wii, my rock.
