We live in a world where a college degree is often looked at the only way to be successful. I have never really felt connected to the idea of college. Since I was in middle school, I have always felt like I didn't have a chance at life because I was so unsure about what I wanted to do. I felt lost. I felt stuck. It led to so many negative thoughts and feelings about myself. I didn't start leaning towards the path of trade school until my junior year of high school. I am so glad I did. It wasn't until my senior year that I decided to go for Esthetics & Makeup. I have always had a passion for taking care of my skin and being hygienic. It has always been what has made me feel put together. I would love to be able to allow thousands of others to feel this about themselves. I know what the lows in life feel like. If I can make someone feel at peace just for an hour by using a face mask or massage, then thats what I will push myself to forever do.

The trade that I am pursuing is Esthetics & Makeup. As someone who has never been interested in college, it was extremely hard for me to feel like I had a future. When I was able to understand that an interest can be my future, I decided to learn more about skincare through aesthetics. After I graduate from trade school, I have a plan to start my own business. Although I am unsure whether or not it will be selling products or doing hands on work, as of now, I know for sure self-employment is what im interested in. I face adversity in my everyday life. Life is still a journey as I am young and learning. I am maturing and getting through it by following the things I love and am passionate about (one being self-care / self growth and being open to learning about life).
