    1) Outside of golf, I engage deeply in learning and performing American Sign Language (ASL). My journey with ASL began in the third grade when my family and I volunteered with the Love in Motion Sign Language Choir, a ministry dedicated to supporting bereaved parents and fostering unity across diverse communities through the art of song signing. Witnessing the powerful connections forged between the deaf and hearing communities on stage ignited my passion for ASL. Inspired by this experience, I spearheaded the establishment of a Sign Language club at my school, envisioning a platform for my peers to cultivate meaningful connections akin to those I witnessed in the choir. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, I pivoted to virtual teaching, offering ASL lessons to elementary school students. Additionally, I organized in-person ASL workshops at our local middle school, broadening the club's reach and impact. To further integrate the local deaf community, I coordinated ASL performances and National Anthem interpretations for district events, aiming to amplify inclusivity and celebrate diversity in the vibrant tapestry of our community's pride, particularly before football games. 2) I'm keen on majoring in Information Technology while continuing my studies in diverse languages and cultures. I'm driven by the prospect of deepening my understanding of how human language and technology intersect. My aim is to explore how algorithms can facilitate smoother communication among people, and how innovative software in information technology can enhance language learning, ultimately fostering better international communication. Both fields intrigue me individually, and I'm excited to delve into each one to make meaningful contributions in the future. 3) After graduation, my aim is to continue my dedication to supporting the deaf community through ongoing advocacy efforts, particularly within the framework of Love In Motion Sign Language. Throughout my college journey, I envision making a significant contribution by leading the development of an innovative interface aimed at enhancing communication with deaf individuals, thereby simplifying the process of learning American Sign Language (ASL). By combining my passion for technology with a steadfast commitment to inclusivity, I aspire to bring about tangible change, empowering deaf individuals with tools that facilitate seamless communication and foster greater understanding and connection for their community. 4)Being chosen as a recipient of the Hulede Collegiate Golf scholarship would profoundly shape my collegiate journey in numerous impactful ways. Not only would it alleviate the financial strain of tuition and college expenses, but it would also grant me the precious opportunity to fully immerse myself in my academic pursuits, particularly my passion for languages, while also dedicating ample time to volunteer work within the deaf community. Golf is one of my biggest passions and focuses in life. Throughout high school, I dedicated 20 hours a week to practicing, always striving for improvement. In college, my goal is to excel in collegiate tournaments while continuing to sharpen my skills both on the course and in the classroom. As an ambitious scholar-athlete, I aspire to not only achieve academic success and athletic excellence but also to pursue further studies in languages and contribute meaningfully to the community. This scholarship would provide me with the necessary support and resources to pursue these goals wholeheartedly, allowing me to navigate my collegiate experience with purpose, determination, and the commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the field.
