I attend Oxford Area High School where I’m involved in many sports and clubs. I have two sibling and two dogs. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, keeping active in sports and clubs, baking, and playing with my dogs. I enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering through almost any opportunity. One of the biggest volunteering opportunities I have gotten to participate in, is a local church back to school fair where we stuff 100 backpacks and give them away to those in need. Seeing the students faces light up with school supplies to start their year off on the right foot like everyone else is really inspiring and is what makes me want to continue giving back to the community. I enjoy giving back to the community and doing what I can to help others out. Throughout high school, I have spent many hours volunteering through many different clubs, organizations, or just on my own. I thrive off of seeing others benefit positively which is why volunteering is so easy and fun for me. I have volunteered many hours for National Honor Society through the dance marathon, blood drive, basketball concessions, and many other activities. Throughout high school, I have stayed involved in many sports and clubs in and out of school. This year I have been involved in Helping Hands, FBLA, National Honor Society, varsity volleyball, and varsity swimming. Both NHS and Helping Hands are volunteering oriented which is why I love both clubs so much. Throughout high school I have also played for a volleyball club and swam for a summer swim team, I have worked as a lifeguard which l continue to do in the summers, I have worked at La Sicilia’s and I have babysat. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering my time because I thrive off of seeing others happy and benefiting from something helpful. After graduating, I plan to travel around the country working in the NICU or with pediatrics as an Occupational Therapist. I never thought about working in the NICU until I went on my first college visit, when the college mentioned that the NICU is an option for working as an occupational therapist, I instantly fell in love with the idea. Although the NICU can be a very difficult and draining place to work, it can feel very rewarding as well. After traveling for a few years, I plan to settle down and either continue to work in the NICU or move to Pediatrics.
