I have always experienced the world very inwardly. Where some people had no problem finding the right words, I often stayed in my head, trying to process and understand. Eventually, I turned to art to express what I couldn't. I wish it wouldn't have taken me so many years to learn that translating your life, your feelings, your experiences to art; it is such a beautiful and liberating thing. I hope that through continuing in the visual arts, I can share this sentiment with others and maybe let people in on the things I had always kept to myself, my own unique perspective. All my life, I found it difficult to speak up and scary to take up space. Through art, I've been able to find the courage to do so. Art isn't always about the end result; art is about the process. I hope I can guide more people to learn to express themselves through the powerful medium of the visual arts.
