Hello there! My name is Samantha Birks, and I have always known I have wanted to work in medicine since I was young and influenced by my mother who is a nurse. She taught me the ethical value in helping to heal people and guide them towards living more fulfilling and health-minded lives, and it inspired me to follow a similar career path. I have always been passionate about caring for others and have experience working with people with disabilities. I currently have a Bachelors of Health Sciences and a minor in Biology studies and have since began physician assistant (PA) school. This program will help form me into a knowledgable and empathetic provider, and I am very much looking forward to being able to follow in my mother's footsteps and mark my place in the healthcare field. Any scholarship would greatly help me towards reaching my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant and practicing medicine.
