My name is Samantha Houston, and I am a master's student in general/experimental psychology at Fresno State (Go Bulldogs!!). I love research and psychology which is why I hope to continue my education by obtaining a PhD in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in forensics. When I am not busy with school, I enjoy listening to different kinds of music from hard rock to KPOP. I am very happy with the experiences that I have had since meeting my cohort and starting research, and I continue to look forward to what the future brings.

Love Island Fan Scholarship
My challenge for love island would be a mixture of spicy romance, risk, and revelations. The islanders would go through a treasure hunt style obstacle course to test the couples abilities to work together under pressure, I call it The "Ex" marks the spot.
The villa would be set up as a pirates tropical paradise with key stations marked with giant X's, each station has a different special event and item for the couples, such as treasure chests with special rewards inside and special "truth" traps. In this challenge, couples must work together to make their way across the course uncovering buried surprises and answering revealing questions. The first couple to complete the course and the most questions correctly will win a spicy reward (private dinner or a special overnight date). The couple who answer the least amount of questions correctly will be up for a villa vote.
So, how it will work is that each couple will be tethered with a "love" rope and given a pirate flag that they must keep to the end, they must work together through every obstacle, teamwork and communication will be tested.
The first checkpoint is the sand pit of secrets where one islander must dig in the sand to find a bottle with a note inside that has a juicy question, like name your partner’s most recent ex or has your partner ever cheated, the other islander must answer the question out loud. If their answer is wrong a bucket of sand will be dropped on them.
The second checkpoint is the "walk the planks" where one must walk on a wobbly plank over a shallow pool, they must walk together across and halfway through they must whisper a private fantasy to their partner (will be broadcasted later at the villa), if they fall in the have to start over.
The third checkpoint is the treasure chest of truth, where each couple will have to unlock a chest by solving a riddle about their partner, this ranges from innocent (what is their hometown?) to spicy (Do you have any fetishes?), once opened, inside will be a wild dare or another revealing question.
The final checkpoint is the X marks the spot, where the couples must run as fast as they can to place their pirate flag on a giant X, once they do a buzzer will go off and their time will be recorded.
This would be an interesting challenge as it will show how much the couples know each other and the answers to the questions will spark new conversations and confrontations between each other, this would entertain fans by showing them the emotional tension, silliness, and scandal between the couples. And their may be possible twists added later on such as the questions in the checkpoints be secretly submitted by other islanders. I hope you enjoy!
