I would like to pursue a music education and performance career. I want to have my own private piano studio in the future. It would also be great to explore being on the administrative team of some kind of arts association. I want to pursue this career because playing and teaching music is something that I love to do. I could also see myself teaching choir, concert band, jazz band, and piano class some day. I have had many teachers over the years leave a profound impact on me. I want to study music in order to be one of those teachers that inspires their students. In high school, I have been able to teach one on one piano lessons and I had the opportunity to co-mentor a middle school jazz band. Also, I have been able to be a part of the Monterey Jazz Festival and Charles Mingus Jazz Festival as a pianist. Music has been a large part of me throughout my life and I want to continue that. I want to perform in the future in weddings, shows, churches, and schools. The possibilities are endless and I am very excited to explore them! I want to make a positive impact in the world through teaching and performing music.
