Bold Mental Health Awareness Scholarship
In the past year, over 52.9 million Americans have been struggling with mental health. Being one of those 52.9 million people I have tried multiple routes to deal with my mental health. What seems to be the one that is sticking, the most productive one is regaining interest in things that my mental health makes me lose a passion for. While I know that this is an interesting statement to make because for certain mental health issues it seems a little too impossible to have interest in anything, what I mean by my statement is I knew that I have always been a caring person and I might do things that most people seem is going out of my way for others. Through the lowest points, I realize that the best way for me to feel good is to know that I made others feel good. While doing that thing I regained my interest in socializing as well as my interest in being selfless and not being in my head so much.
With all that being stated every person who struggles with mental health has their way of coping with things. I feel as though if you’re able to do some self-reflection and have a deep thought-out conversation you’ll be able to realign your train of thought. By not giving in to those manipulative thoughts of insecurities, depression, or anything in a negative aspect you’re able to genuinely find your pure happiness. Whereas if you just sit in your thoughts and wallow in your feelings you’re not truly able to realize how many things that you are genuinely great at and things that you can excel at. This would allow you to help yourself heal as well as your mental health as a whole.
