She responded, “well you may not be able to flip for the remainder of the season, but you will return before the season is over”. Optimistic about returning, I attended practices and games although I was unable to be on the court at the time. After a few weeks and still in pain, I put my uniform back on refusing to let the injury dictate the end of my high school cheerleading journey. On February 2, 2024, I returned to the place where I belonged…on the court next to my teammates and it felt GOOD! In Fall 2024, I will be entering an HBCU called North Carolina A&T.
