Hi! I'm Ruby Amyeen. I'm a high school senior planning to attend Columbia University next year. I'm going to be majoring in computer science. I'm especially interested in artificial intelligence. I believe AI will be ubiquitous, so I want to get involved in this field to ensure we build an ethical digital world that respects the boundaries between humanity and technology. I care deeply about mitigating biases in large datasets to avoid perpetuating harmful stereotypes in AI.

  Educate 2 Empower is a non-profit organization to empower underprivileged women and girls worldwide through educational support. The coding classes at Educate to Empower are for women and girls in South Africa at the Saartjie Baartman Centre.

• Developed curriculum with six interactive Google Colab notebooks to teach Python. Led lectures on artificial intelligence and programming applications with weekly slides. Led walkthroughs on an AI classification program.
