I am my own worst enemy! I have been plagued with anxiety my entire life stemming from poverty and being a prisoner in my home as a child. I started life out the worst possible way, beaten, tortured, and used for serial advances by my father. I am a survivor and a single father now trying to raise my child to belive anything is possible. That I why my goal in life is to chase my dream of animation! One day I want my daughter to look at me and be proud and hopeful for her future as well. It took me a few years of getting over my anxiety of continuing my schooling, afraid of failure and resentment. Ashamed of not being able to afford college, I decided to talk myself out of it. I decided to take the leap and apply for scholarships in hopes to make this dream a reality. I want to look back and laugh at the times I ran away from things out of fear and live my best life as well as show my daughter dreams can come true. When I was a child I would see movies made by Disney and think about all of the magic and happy endings and it made me hopeful and got me through really tough times. I had a very traumatic childhood and have dealt with it, along with therapists. The magic of animation keeps the hope of magic and happy endings alive, and I want to help be apart of everyone's happiness though my art. That is why it is so important to me in pursuing this dream of mine. It's not about selling the magic, it's about giving children the hope and dreams to chase after. Through films, shows, and games we have the power of impression. I can finally be a part of something so incredible finally and it is all I ever dreamed of. In order to achieve these dreams I have I need to be able to afford the college, while affording to care for my daughter, that is why I have been applying day and night for scholarships while working two jobs to make ends meet. I hope that you have at least had the opportunity to read my brief history and I encourage you to help me see this through. I have poured my heart and soul into everything I do despite my past trying to stop me. I want to be apart of making the next generations happiness and hopefulness, this is my cause in life. God bless and have a wonderful day.
