My name is Rosana Montes, and I am a 31-year-old Mexican American woman currently pursuing my MBA full-time while balancing the responsibilities of being a supportive spouse. Raised in a family with strong values, I have always placed a high priority on education, community, and family. Over the past several years, I have dedicated myself to supporting my husband’s personal and professional growth. Now, I am committed to completing my degree and building a successful career in finance. I am also eager to start my own family, aligning my personal and professional aspirations for long-term fulfillment. One of my greatest accomplishments to date has been earning my bachelor’s degree in mathematics. This milestone not only sharpened my analytical and problem-solving skills but also deepened my passion for numbers and strategy. With this solid foundation, I am excited to further my education through my MBA, where I am gaining critical insights into business management and finance. My ultimate career goal is to work in a role that allows me to grow and learn continuously, while also fostering the professional development of others. I aspire to contribute to an environment that values knowledge-sharing and supports the growth of all team members. In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I have had the privilege of working in public schools, which has significantly shaped my career vision. I developed a profound appreciation for the crucial work that educators perform and the importance of sound financial stewardship in supporting their efforts. My goal is to return to the public education system as a financial officer, where I can use my expertise to ensure that schools are equipped with the resources necessary to provide a high-quality education. Supporting the development of children and aiding public servants are causes I hold deeply, and I am committed to contributing to the financial stability of our schools, helping to create a positive impact on future generations. Beyond my academic and career ambitions, I am also actively involved in my church community, where I volunteer across several ministries, from teaching religious education to singing in the choir. This sense of service brings me immense personal fulfillment and motivates me to give back in meaningful ways. One of my long-term goals is to return to my rural roots in Washington by starting my own farm. With the money I save from paying down my student loans, I plan to invest in a homestead where I can raise animals, such as cows and chickens, and grow a variety of crops. This venture would not only generate additional income but also enable me to support my parents in their retirement, ensuring they can live comfortably. Farming represents an opportunity for me to reconnect with the land, live sustainably, and provide for my family and community in a way that is both purposeful and fulfilling.
