Bio

I am a person who realized that after a life of surviving that I do not have to just survive, but that I can live. Both of my parents, while in separate households, had health and financial challenges throughout my childhood. My mind was often clouded by the hospital visits, financial struggles, or the family conflict. Despite the challenges, I thrived in areas where I could create, lead, and pioneer. I was the first middle school group to join Franklin Military Academy, a speciality school in Richmond, Virginia. I also attended Richmond Community High School, a college-preparatory school. While in high school, I was able to serve as the Vice President of Leaders' Club, a national teen-led program that I attended at my local YMCA. I chose to focus on my full-time career at the YMCA. I had to exercise time-management, networking skills, and leadership skills in real time. I also took time to heal from the childhood trauma that clouded my mind. After that experience I gained the courage to go back to school to gain the credentials that meet my work experience. I aspire to be in positions where I can create more efficient and sustainable systems for organization. I value equipping people for success and ensuring that people can thrive by providing structure and order. I hope to complete my Bachelor's in Business soon because I want more than a career that I am just surviving in. I want a career that I can live in.
