I read books multiple times a week.

I read books multiple times a week.
My long term goal is to become an epidemiologist and work toward improving community health. I’ve always been interested in how biology connects to everyday life, especially how human behavior and social factors can influence health outcomes. I want to better understand why certain communities are more affected by preventable diseases and what can be done to change that. As I start my college education, I am focused on building a strong foundation in biology and public health. I plan to stay involved in leadership and service opportunities because I believe making a difference goes beyond academics. I want to develop the research and critical thinking skills needed to study patterns of disease and contribute to prevention efforts that actually help people. Ultimately, my goal is to use what I learn to support healthier communities and reduce health disparities. I am motivated by the idea that research and education can lead to real, lasting change, and I am committed to putting in the work necessary to make that impact.
