My entire life I have been fascinated by mechanical marvels such as cars, robots, and spaceships.
This fascination along with my affinity for math and science has led me to take robotics classes
in high school and choose mechanical engineering as my major for college. My goal in college is
to get my bachelor's degree or master's degree in mechanical engineering at Tarleton State
University. In high school I have taken the entire robotics curriculum through CTC and will be
graduating high school with my certification in robotics through CTC. For STAAR testing I
mastered my Algebra 1, U.S. History and my Biology test as well as meeting the requirements

This last year my leadership in those projects have earned me the position of President of the Robotic Club at my school. My job was to motivate and delegate the other team members in assisting and preparing for competitions. I help us achieve our goals and successfully won First place both year at the district level competitions.
During my time with Copperas Cove High School football, I didn't play for myself or in my own interest. I worked, played, practiced and grew as part of a team. I spent all my middle and High School years with Dawg Football and it taught me that the strength of one individual means nothing if that individual cannot work with others and stick to the plan.
Aside from my academics and athletic pursuits, I am the second oldest of 5 boys from a low income family. I learned the importance of being a leader and working well with others. Sharing didn't always come easy but now that I am older, I get it. I know it's not just about sharing things but time and love. I know that through all the struggles, I would not be were I am with out God's love, my family and all the community support I have received. My goal is to one day give back as much as I can. Through high school I tried to volunteer as much as I could for community and school events. That is just the start. I am looking forward to what God has in store for me and how I can give the support back into the community that I received through my academic pursuit this far.

I come from a low income family of 7. I am the second oldest of 5 sons. I have learned from my family the importance of making every penny count. There have been times where we struggled and had to go with out basic necessities. It was of no fault of my. parents, just the nature of having so many mouths to feed on a tight budget. My parents have made it a point to share with me the importance of saving money and budgeting properly. All in hopes that my future will look different financially. Financial education is keep to success. They have taught me about personal retirement plans and how some people can secure career paths that provide retirement plans for you. So I can decide financially what's best for my future. My goal is to learn as much as I can in financial education to help me pursue a career path and future that will lead me to financial success. I do not want to be entrepreneurs like my parents and have to build my own retirement plan or rely on social security alone. My goal is to work along side a company that will provide me those financial securities . I will take classes in college that help me understand finical literacy better, so with the income I receive, I spend my money wisely. I will apply myself to my finanical education just as seriously as I have everything else. Success is my only option, failure is not.
