Bio

I am a high school student driven by curiosity and a burning passion for robotics, art, music, psychology, and philosophy. My parents migrated to the United States to allow me great opportunities, their sacrifices inspire me to lead myself with purpose and great determination. And now, I'm the first in my family planning to attend a University. My passion for what I do has driven me to work extremely hard. In 2026, through hard work and sleepless nights, I led our high school's robotics team to earn the State Innovation Award, which qualified us to compete in the 2026 Vex World Championship. In total we have secured around 10 total awards, breaking our schools record for most awarded team in a season. I have a deep love for creating. Outside of school, I like to dedicate myself to personal engineering projects, weightlifting, and creative pursuits through music. I approach life with a deep fascination for the world around me and the complexities of human experience, which has led me to independently explore topics in neuroscience and philosophy. In my future, I hope to build impactful robotic technology to further the advancement of space exploration while continuing to grow as a leader, creator, and learner. All while carrying myself with my two greatest assets, my passion and curiosity.

Justin Moeller Memorial Scholarship
My parents migrated to the United States from Mexico to give me greater opportunities. Growing up in a Hispanic household taught me to lead with passion and hard work. This led to me approaching everything that I faced in life with true ambition and drive, to not hold back, to strive for the greatest goal. This truly shows in my high school career with Vex robotics. Vex robotics is a world wide competitive robotics league where students from all over the world design and compete their robots. These competitions are held locally, statewide, nationwide, and even globally! With teams having to climb their way up the competitive ladder to the ultimate goal, The World Championship. I grew up with strong ambition and a passion for technology and engineering, so naturally, the wide scale and competitiveness of Vex robotics captivated me. Before I began, I knew I had to research and learn engineering principles and concepts. Information technology was the backbone of my learning journey. Although it was not always readily available, I found my ways. Whether it was through library computers or school devices. My pursuit of learning led me to apply and win a $1,500 grant for a research, coding, and 3d design computer. Information technology fascinated me and opened up so many doors to a world of information. The biggest thing I found interesting was the ability to connect with fellow engineering students and Vex competitors to share ideas and knowledge. I began writing forums and joining chatrooms and was learning so much about everything. Through IT, hard work, and ambition, I led my high school robotics team to the 2026 Vex World Championship. The rabbit hole of using information technology led to my research in website coding and server management. I quickly realized that IT was a powerful tool that can be used to do so many great things. In 2022 I was able to Co start an online E-Commerce business with my friend. Not too long after, I began learning the principles of 3D design through multiple different software. I used this skill to design and sell 3D models online to game developers. My journey with IT has shown me that it is a truly powerful tool that has changed and will continue to change the world. That is why I wish to pursue a career in information technology. To push this technology forward and achieve new and great things that will change lives for the better. The specific field I want to pursue is space robotic technologies. Through this, I'll be able to apply all the IT skills I have gathered throughout the years including programming, 3D design, and research. I have never let any barriers stop me in my journey with IT. Whether it be financial issues or societal barriers. I have always and will continue to find a way.
