I have chemistry with... chemistry! Molecules and reactions connect me with every aspect of the world, allowing my ideas to reach disciplines and communities without limits, providing a way to care for our planet and people. As I continue my pursuit and as President of Chemistry Club, I'm inspired to find my intersection of research and imperative solutions - with the environment, medicine, or even dentistry! Outside of academics, I'm an Eagle Scout in Troop 998 and founder of Troop 126 as the first generation of girls in Boy Scouts, first chair of the erhu section in my traditional Chinese orchestra as I blend modern and ancient music, President of the Academic Leadership peer-tutoring program, principal Chinese folkloric and lyrical dancer and choreographer at Tri-Valley Dance Academy, and on the Varsity Song Team dancing hip-hop, jazz, and pom. Some fun facts are that I've been awarded the Congressional Award Gold Medal, I've played piano at Carnegie Hall, and I've earned the National Outdoor Hiking Award!
