I’m currently a student in the Accelerated BSN program at the University of Colorado Anschutz, pursuing a career in nursing that is rooted in compassion, adaptability, and service. My path to nursing has been shaped by years of caregiving—both personally and professionally—and a deep commitment to supporting people during moments of vulnerability. Working in healthcare has shown me that being a nurse means more than providing clinical care; it means showing up with empathy and presence when patients and their families need it most. I’m especially passionate about improving health equity and expanding access to quality care in underserved communities. I plan to use my nursing education not only at the bedside, but also in advocacy and community outreach efforts that address the broader social factors impacting health. My goal is to become the kind of nurse who brings both technical skill and genuine human connection to every interaction.
