Bio

I aspire to be part of the game community. I am currently making it my goal to be good in 3D modeling and hope to learn coding and be able to do animations. I love to watch anime and play games and putting the 2 together, it would be a video game where both can be done with my ideas and creations.

      Healthy Living Scholarship
A healthy lifestyle has many benefits with the only downside is that it isn't easy to maintain such a lifestyle. In this day and age, there are countless temptations that can grab a young person's attention. I'd be lying if I said I have a healthy lifestyle as not everything I do is healthy. Nevertheless, I still think a healthy lifestyle is important because it changes many qualities of life such as mobility, brain activity, socialization, and energy. As I get older and get closer to being in the working industry, being able to think, socialize and have the energy to do my task is very important. I find that a healthy lifestyle leads to a more positive outcome when working towards and in the field.
      Bold Art Matters Scholarship
I never had a knack for different art pieces made by legendary artists like Picasso. The styles had never clicked with me as my interests were much different from most at a young age. Having grown up in New York, I experienced foreign art from japan called anime which is similar to America's cartoons but just better in my opinion. To this day, I am still hooked on those styles as there are countless ways characters are drawn and portrayed, many different stories ranging from slice of life to supernatural things that gets the creative mind going. This is what really separates art from japan to American art, even though there is virtually one genre, there is so many styles that a character can be drawn and each would look drastically different. A series called Violet Evergarden is a combination of animation and paintings. It's scenery is astoundingly beautiful every time I see it with the vibrant colors added with the story. The background would change drastically to fit the mood of the scene to bring more emotions from said characters. I consider Violet Evergarden to be a masterpiece whether it is story or the stunning characters and background.
      Bold Optimist Scholarship
Staying optimistic has been one of my strong points. Throughout my college years thus far, there's been nothing but challenges and enough things for me to be angry about. I've stayed in my college for four years now and missed my chance to transfer when it was still a viable option because I was being very optimistic thinking things can get better if I just stick with it. I was very wrong as things just got worse whether that is through the courses being lacking/boring and not very educational or the professors being sub-par at best. Despite this, I will keep my optimism that if I work hard, I can still learn on my own accords with some help from said professors should I ever need them. Being optimistic has taught me a very important lesson. Don't let your optimism hold you from making an important decision. Always go for the better choice the instant it arrives to you or it may be too late. Such was in my case with missing my window to transfer. On the other hand however, my optimism has helped me decide what I wanted to do in the future as it gave me more time to decide while I was still floating around my decisions.

Qualities and characteristics in a person can be similar but also different from one another. Each has their own value and so does mine. The quality and characteristics I most value in my life is my curiosity. This is where I mean when I say that qualities and characteristics may be similar but also different at the same time. Some may be curious to learn new things or try new things but to me, I would be curious about situations that happen around me. When I hear friends or co-workers talk about things that would pique my interest, I would without a doubt, enter the conversations even if it may seem rude. Although I do try to not seem rude when I join in the talk. This trait of me is what helps me stay connected to my community and furthering my relationships with others. In the past, I have actually kept to myself and would only talk to others when approached or needed. Never have I initiated a conversation on my own as I never had much that I had in common with others like my classmates. Finding the right people to hang out with was all I could have ever wanted but those things don't get handed to you. I have stayed almost alone throughout my high school days and decided to change that once I got out and into college. Though forced, I have made conversations with my peers and made connections through them. Having this kind of quality/characteristic helps me out by building my confidence when talking to strangers. This has indeed helped me land a part-time job and am now having great fun with the people I am working with now. I have built connections by being outgoing towards others, initiating in conversations and just being there. In this day and age, connections will take you a long way. My curiosity is my driving force to gain those connections and become more successful in my public life. I do sometimes have difficulty speaking to others at times, sometimes even misunderstanding what they are saying but I believe that I am just getting one step closer to what I want to achieve. I have the curiosity to gain my connections, now it is time to put in the effort to further my education to realize my goal and do what I love and continue to love, playing games and in the future, create one of my own.
      Bold Creativity Scholarship
Creativity all comes from one's mind. Infinite amount of scenarios can happen in a person's lifetime and that is true with me. These scenarios are often limited as things like supernatural events, some awesome powers, or even a whole new world that is completely different from the one we live in. This is where creativity comes in and where I also get most, if not all of my creative thinking. While I do think that our world filled with what is has is amazing with all the technology and entertainments, there will always be something missing. Movies or shows that provides these different elements are shows that portrays elements that doesn't exist or is all made up. I apply these types of creativity in my ideas and art which gives it a whole new meaning when compared to traditional art that is made in the past. Everyday, I think of short scenes in my head and sometimes a few would be intriguing to say the least and would catch the attention of some. What I'm getting at with this is that my thinking aligns with the categories of supernatural themes that I would use daily to conjure up different ideas to use which had also led me to deal with most situations.
Sloane Stephens Doc & Glo Scholarship
I find myself very optimistic and patient with many things. I keep a level headed approach to stressful situations because of experience in the past where I would lash out at others just because I was dealing with too many things at once. Nowadays, I keep my temper and I will not get mad even if the other person is clearly lashing out at me knowing that if I lash back, it would only make the situation worse. I like the see the positive side of things since when thinking of what might be negative will bring my spirits low, I tend to avoid those kind of thoughts. Thinking positive might yield better results as this affects how I would think and act to certain situations. These are the traits I would highly value about myself and they are the traits that helped me get where I am today. Without this kind of thinking, I don't know what I'd probably be doing right now. When I think positive and be optimistic, situations such as working in a fast paced environment becomes barrable and sort of fun at the same time. I sometimes depend on the mood of others to help lift my spirits because if they are having fun, there is no reason for me to ruin their fun by being gloomy and mad and so I will also be in the same mood as others. I have many choices where I made because I was optimistic such as what I wanted to do once I finish with my education. One such thing was to be a game designer. This would soon branch off to other departments that I would later become interested in which is 3D modeling and animation as well as storytelling through the use of a video game. Since I was little, I played many games and then instead of playing, I thought to myself, "I should make a game that I want to be able to tweak to my preferences". This would then start me off to doing what I am now which is 3D modeling and animation. This isn't easy as I had started late but I am still continuing strong with a lot of patience knowing that my family are willing to wait until I am done with my education and do what I love. Not everything goes according to plan as I feel as though I am not getting the most out of what I am paying at my college but because I was optimistic, I waited too long thinking things would get better instead of acting when I could've resulting in me having to learn most things on my own with little help from the professors. Tis is me ranting about me regretting not doing anything sooner but my optimistic characteristic has definitely helped me get where I am.
      Bold Helping Others Scholarship
The best ways of helping someone is to help them with whatever is troubling them. The ways I tend to help others is with their work. I tend to help others by teaching them in a quick and efficient way after the professors would teach to refresh their minds to make the assignments much easier to comprehend. This in turn also helps me understand the assignment more so when I help others, it also helps me. When times are stressful and things needs to be done fast, it is easier to not make the situation worse by being stressed myself and carrying out what needs to be done as soon as possible. When the deadline is closing in, I help my fellow peers when I can by offering them helpful tips and shortcuts to accomplish things in a timely fashion.
      Bold Motivation Scholarship
These days it is hard to get motivation in my opinion. I tend to get my motivation from different inspiration whether it is from an amazing artwork or an amazing scene from a show. The motivation I would get is from my imagination. If I imagine people viewing my work, I get excited thinking what they will think of it, how will they critique me, or whether or not they will like it. I take chances to improve and that is only possible when I finish my art to show to the mass. Another thing that motivates me is thinking of the future and the profits I can gain just by improving my skills in the present. I am behind in skills as I have started rather late in life but when I think of this quote that was told to me a while back, "think of the future" it pushes me to try harder and to eventually succeed.
      Bold Happiness Scholarship
The things that makes me happy are more than I thought at first. It used to be just playing video games and watching anime but now, it also includes many more. I still enjoy playing video games and watching anime to this day but to add on to my list, hanging out with friends and talking with people that has similar interests as me brings me joy and excitement. Spending time with my family brings me happiness as the younger me used to not do as much. I also enjoy making art in any digital media. Not needing to constantly buy supplies when I run out, being able to undo a mistake is all things I still find amazing to this day. Recently I have gotten myself into 3D modeling which proves to be quite the journey but nonetheless, I am having fun. If I had to say which makes me the most happiest, that would be talking with other people with similar interests. There won't be many awkward times where we don't know what to talk about and definitely won't not know what the other people is talking about. I am the type of guy to talk for hours about things I like and when I meet similar people, it gets me pumped.
Artists and Writers in the Community Scholarship
      1. The art is experienced was not in my community but rather a foreign community. I was first introduced to this at a very young age of 12. This art is animation from japan otherwise known as "anime". Utterly captivated by the moving images that span for around 24 minutes, I began being hooked on other series which led to me who I am today. I spend a lot of time watching these series to where I don't have a lot of social experiences but I still met a few friends who stuck with me ever since elementary school. The anime would also be implemented as video games and as a fan, I would play them which led me to know what I wanted to do in the future. Game design featuring my own designs and working with a team to achieve that result. 2. My favorite teacher from high school would be a man named Ben Barnes. He is a math teacher with a very kind heart who was also vegan. The first class I had with him wouldn't be called a good experience as he had a sudden health issue leading him to be hospitalized for that entire semester which led us to not learn much math. After making a full recovery however, I wouldn't say his lessons were perfect but they were definitely fun. We have a first name basis at the school to feel closer to the teachers and the teacher I felt closets was in fact, Ben. I'd probably not be the same person if it weren't for him as he listened to when I had troubles and doing his best to guide me through those times. 3. Arts does wonders for a community as it is a way to pull people in. No one would particularly talk to others if there was nothing in common between them or any tasks they had to do with each other. Arts would be the subject people go to, learn it, and build a passion for. Like minded people would then speak their opinions, likes, or dislikes with others that have thoughts on the same subject. Communities are built around a subject like traditionally painted art. Some might not care but others would study a single painting for hours on end, making their observations on the emotions and the meaning it conveys. As mentioned earlier, I have been exposed to anime at a young age and as time passes, the anime community would spread further and further out to foreign regions where we would talk about production quality, favorite scenes, favorite series, voice actors, etc. 4. There are many times where I failed. The biggest moment would most probably be the score I had on the SAT. Being from a poor family, I was taught to not spend money aimlessly and so I took that towards the SAT. Do the best I can on the SAT but not pay for another retest for a higher score because it would cost money. Due to this, I couldn't get to the college I wanted and settled for 2nd best in my opinion which was New York Institute of Technology. Because of the kind of college this is, they don't specialize in arts let alone game designing which I am eager to do as a career. I had then missed my chance to transfer to a different school as I was too hopeful that my experience at the school would be better. Another regret I have would be choosing the most expensive college thinking that a more expensive college means it is better but that is far from the truth from experiences my friends from cheaper schools have. The impact these mistakes have on me is that it delayed the things I want to learn by a few years with no other option but to continue and get my degree. This is not considered a failed moment but rather a regretful moment which would be my starting point. I had little motivation all throughout high school and never really started honing my art skills. Only when college started is when I started to draw and I started with drawing anime illustrations but that would be towards my second year.
