      Learner Higher Education Scholarship
Higher education is the end goal for me. The higher the education, the more likely you'll get a good job. Getting a good job all depends on what college is on that degree. Higher education is important to me because nothing is better than being an educated individual. I feel as though education is power in the world we live in today. The more one is educated the more they are respected and viewed as an equal. In our world today having a higher education is decreasing one day at a time. Having a higher education or little education affects your future whether one believes it or not. If I have a higher education I am more likely to get a high paying job, if I have the average education I am more likely to have a hard time finding a good paying job that I have the requirements for. Higher education is important to me because I want to be well educated before I am off on my own in this world. I feel like the more educated I am the better I will do in our civilization at this time. I don't want to settle for the average high school degree and maybe an associate's degree. I want to go to university and get my master's degree. I want to be able to go into the workforce with a strong mind and hard work ethic. I feel as though having a higher education can also get me promotions at my job with given time. I feel if I have a higher education and work quick on my feet, I will end up being a key employee leading me to get a raise if the boss sees fit. Higher education will give me that little ledge over everybody else. If I have a higher education, stay sharp minded, and stay on track I believe I will be successful in life itself. If having a high education can benefit me in anything that involves my future, I want it. I don't want to be the ignorant young adult that just follows the crowd. I want to be the person everyone wants to follow, I want to be the leader, and I want to be an inspiration for others. I want to make people think having a higher education is worth the work and time. I think higher education is one of the main keys in life. Having a good education can help me in more ways than one. Higher education to me is just as important as food and water. Without food and water I can not live, without education I can not find a decent job to be able to provide for myself.
      Your Dream Music Scholarship
Daddy's Hands by Dolly Parton have probably spoken to me the most as music has developed over the years. Daddy's Hands have a very emotional connection to me due to my relationship with my father. In the song, Dolly sings the line, " Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin'. Daddy's hands, were hard as steel when I'd done wrong. Daddy's hands weren't always gentle, but I've come to understand. There was always love in Daddy's hands." I can connect with the lines in this song because when I was crying my father was there to hold me. When I did something wrong my father would give me consequences for my actions. My father isn't always a gentle man but he knows when he needs to be stern with me and he knows when he needs to just hold me. My father has been my rock for as long as I can remember. My dad has provided for my family by working three blue collared man jobs. My dad works three jobs so we never had to grow up the way he did. He never wanted us to not be able to do something we wanted to do and these lines in Daddy's Hands are very relatable. I remember Daddy's hands, working 'til they bled. Sacrificed unselfishly, just to keep us all fed. If I could do things over, I'd live my life again. And never take for granted the love in Daddy's hands." I do wish I appreciated my father more when I was younger instead of asking for more and more. Though I can't take back the past, I can improve now in the present. I try to let my father know as much as possible that I appreciate everything he does for his family.
      David Michael Lopez Memorial Scholarship
Ever since I could remember I've wanted to go to college out of state. Coming from a small town where everyone knows everybody's business can be rough. There is no getting out of the small town, the farthest most go would be the local city nearby. As for me, I want to be the 1% that gets out of that small town and goes big in life. I'm going to the University of Central Arkansas to major in Sports Marketing and minor in Sports Management. I've recently been given an athletic scholarship to the University of Central Arkansas and I want to use that scholarship to help pay for my education and get the job of my dreams. I have taken dual credit classes in my high school's education program. I should graduate with my associate's degree by my second year at Central Arkansas. After I get my associate's degree depending on what the future holds for me I plan to get an internship at a marketing firm or I plan to stay at Central Arkansas for my master's degree. I attend the University of Central Arkansas in the fall of 2023. I will be attending as a student-athlete. I strive to have all A's or a minimum of high B's, but if I have a hard time in a class I'll ask for a tutor or about a study group. I want to graduate college in the top quartile of my class. After I graduate I hope for an opportunity for an internship to get work experience. Due to me being a former student-athlete, I feel as though I would excel in the Sports Marketing field. I feel I'd have a better perspective on what sports gear would be best for athletes.
