    Bold Joy Scholarship
Joy comes in many forms. I used to think that you had to work to be happy and find joy in your life. I realize that you just have to look at all the small miracles that happen everyday to find joy in each day. Its a mindset! You see, our family has had many many struggles. We were not sure my dad was going to live. For 5 years the ups and downs were so stressful and it was hard to see the good. My mom and I would talk about why so many bad things are happening. At the same time, we started noticing little moments of peace and joy. So we made it our purpose to start noticing those moments rather than the bad. We call them the small miracles of each day or some people call them joy! For instance, we would notice the sun peaking through the clouds, a bird, some friendly stranger. Then in turn we started to do little things to bring joy like smile, help a stranger when out, call or text a friend, etc. It doesn't take big things in life to receive or give joy. It really is the little things!
