Bio

Hello, My name is Rebekah RIsinger and I am from Philadephia, Pennsylvania, but have lived in Farmington, New Mexico, since 2021. My father was incarcerated when I was very young, and my mother died by suicide during my junior year of high school. She suffered from paranoid schizophrenia, and this tragedy has now ignited a passion for informing others about mental health laws, especially regarding the involuntary commitment of an adult. I am a full-time college student at the University of New Mexico and San Juan College of Farmington, New Mexico. I am scheduled to begin the Bachelor of Science in Nursing dual degree program at the UNM College of Nursing in 2025. I am on track to graduate in 2027, and I am very dedicated. I highly value my grades and I prioritize not only recalling information but understanding concepts so that I can benefit society. Once I become a registered nurse, I want to support and nurture those who may be experiencing one of the worst moments of their life. I want to help and relieve pain, mental and physical. Also, my story will help me understand, empathize, and communicate with people in a fragile setting in a time-sensitive manner. In my free time, I love to organize, contact family, and try new things. Thank you for viewing my profile!
