My goal is to become a compassionate, skilled healthcare professional in diagnostic medical imaging. I’m earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of Mississippi and plan to pursue a postgraduate certificate in medical imaging, with hopes of advancing in ultrasound or radiation therapy. I want to work in hospital or outpatient settings that serve a diverse population and eventually mentor students who are overcoming personal or academic obstacles. I’m passionate about helping people feel respected and cared for during medical procedures. My own experiences as a patient shaped my desire to bring both technical expertise and empathy into the healthcare setting. I believe small acts of kindness in clinical moments can make a lasting difference, and I hope to offer that kind of support throughout my career. What makes me a strong candidate is my combination of academic achievement, leadership, and perseverance. I’ve maintained a 3.9 GPA while managing a part-time job as a lifeguard and holding leadership roles, including Vice President of Inclusion for Pi Beta Phi and Parliamentarian for the Associated Student Body Government. These experiences taught me discipline, communication, and compassion—qualities I intend to bring into every patient interaction.
