Bio

Hi there! My name is Rebecca and I'm a current undergraduate studying biology at University of Pennsylvania. Outside of the classroom, I am a student researcher, University Council member, President of the Transfer Student Organization, Chair of Penn Traditions Student Philanthropy Council, & writer for the PennScience Journal (among other activities)! Inspired by my personal diagnosis with a chronic condition, I am a continual advocate for invisible illness, hidden disability, and rare disease warriors. I founded my nonprofit, The Invizibles Organization, to help raise awareness for these often-overlooked conditions, aiming to provide information that highlights physiology, public health, and the personal experience of disability. Also deeply involved in research, I am an aspiring physician-scientist hoping to attend a MD/PhD program in Immunology. I ultimately want to harness the natural defenses of the immune system for cancer therapeutics.
