Bio

Hi! My name is Rebecca Flum and I will be going into my freshman year of college this upcoming fall. I plan to earn a BFA in dance, and I aspire to be professional concert dancer in the future. I am a high school senior who has trained at the Academy for Performing Arts for the past 3 years and at Washington Rock Dance for 8 years. At APA, I have trained in pre-professional modern and ballet, and also have had the opportunity to take numerous masterclasses from professionals in the industry. At WRD, I have trained in pre-professional modern, ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and pointe. I have taken part in the Juilliard Dance Day, CLI Conservatory summer intensive, and the Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive. I have dedicated my summers to being a camp counselor, and also as a dance assistant at my studio during the year. I have also attended various leadership conferences to continue learning how to be an effective leader. I am extremely passionate about dance, not only the training, but also spreading the beauty of dance to the community around me. I want to continue learning how to help improve the lives of those around me through the use of dance and choreography. Dance is my true passion and I am so thrilled to start this new part of my life, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
