Success to me means surrounding myself with people who genuinely care about me. It doesn't matter how many people are there. Sucess is finding your people and creating connections that could last a lifetime. My mindset is different from my peers because I value loyalty and being there for people at the lows and highs. This mindset will bring me success not only in my career but personal life. I could have all the money in the world but nobody to share it with and experience it with. I value human connection more than materialistic things that bring temporary joy.

In my THRIVE Entrepreneurship Incubator class, I realized how much I loved creating content and growing my audience. In that class, I started my own business, Woofy. I make sustainable and locally made fire hose dog toys. I managed the Instagram and began creating content to get costumers. I made fun reels and even improved my photography skills! I also managed the Facebook which was fun to curate posts to the older audience. I gained a lot of attraction and even had costumers reposting and tagging us in pictures. I didn't like just creating content but seeing the data behind it and trying new techniques to gain more views. Not only did I manage the social media, but I designed the website. I loved designing it and learning more about what makes a website so great. The process was so interesting, and I knew I wanted to learn more about it. Along with creating my own business, I also had an internship with my school's communication department. As an intern, I made graphics for the school social media, came up with fun ways to highlight the entire district like creating fun reels, and learned more about the behind the scenes of the communication/marketing department for a school district. Oe of my favorite videos I did was film and make "school district highlight" reels. I toured all of the schools in the district and made a fun video for each. The entire community loved it and even parents came up to me saying how they loved the video of their old elementary school. The internship opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I was able to photograph different community events and connect with community members. From both of those experiences, I knew marketing was for me. In the future, I would love to work with brands, generate content for them, and help with their marketing strategy. I see myself bringing a new refreshing perspective. I would love to own my own marketing firm and have clients. I feel like I have this amazing gift of getting people invested in a story and I feel like I could use that to help businesses of all sizes. In this era of time where technology is always changing, I can bring my skills and adapt. I've grown up with digital marketing and I can't wait to change businesses for the better and make something I'm proud of.
