Bio

For the longest time, I had wanted to pursue multiple careers in vastly different fields. I was told that the subjects I'm interested in never work or fit together. I never wanted to choose between my passions and interest in technology and criminal justice. After learning more about different college degrees, I discovered that I don't have to choose and a degree involving technology and criminal justice is possible. My life goal is to work as a cybercrime investigator and as a digital forensic analyst. I strive to work in the digital forensics field because it is the combination of two fields that I was told were never going to be possible. After completing and obtaining a bachelor's degree, I strive to help the victims of cyber or online crimes. I am a current student of Ivy Tech Community college, graduating this summer, and planning to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a technology and criminal justice-related degree. I thrive on and enjoy learning and expanding my knowledge about technology, medical science, and criminal justice.

Lo Easton's “Wrong Answers Only” Scholarship
I deserve this scholarship because I'm an undergraduate technology major who strives to better my local community and who needs to pay for college. I have spent years preparing academically and financially for college. My academic goals include attending all the classes I need to graduate and then attending graduation. I plan to obtain my bachelor's degree and if I can afford to pursue a master's degree, I plan to do so. My career goals include starting a full-time job at a local fast food restaurant so I can start paying off my student loans. My end career goal is to become a cybercrime investigator at my local police department so I can help people in my local community who are investigated by the police for cybercrime. There have been many times when I overcame an obstacle. One such time was when my parents both disagreed with me and decided that they will be not buying me a car for college on my 18th birthday. I worked every day after school during my junior and senior years of high school. After a year of working and saving my money, I eventually overcame the obstacle and saved enough money to buy uber drivers for my freshman and sophomore years of college.
    Bold Perseverance Scholarship
It is safe to say that everyone has had a time when they had to persevere through a difficult situation, some situations may be more difficult than others. The difficult situations allow us to grow and change as people. One such situation was when I was just starting high school. Just before starting high school, my world came undone. The person I always looked up to and knew all my life died unexpectedly from cancer. I was fourteen when my father died and left my mother and me alone. He had taken care of the finances, shopping, maintenance, school, and medical related documents. He was our mediator when my mother and I were in disagreements. He kept our small household together and running. After the death of my father, my mother couldn't bring herself to perform all tasks and responsibilities he had on top of her responsibilities and her serious medical issues as well as her grief. I had to learn quickly how to do some of the tasks my father had once done. While I was young and inexperienced, I worked to learn how to perform basic finances, shopping, and maintenance of the house. I did everything in my power to help lift the burden on my mother.
