As a sister of someone with Down syndrome and Autism, I believe in the importance of kindness and positivity. Helping others feel seen and worthy is a very big value in my life. My brother and I do everything together, and I help show him how to be kind and positive to everyone we meet. Having a disability, people can be very offensive and unkind to my brother. We have gone through bullying and many trials involving peers. Although, through watching me and my family, he has learned his value and has found confidence in himself. Positivity really does make life more enjoyable. It is important to demonstrate good values and attitudes because even though you may not think you have any impact, there is always someone who is looking up to you. I hope that through my actions and time spent with my little brother, he continues to spread joy and kindness to everyone. You never know what a little kindness can do in someone's life.
