Hello and thank you for reading my profile. My name is Lara Fernandes, and I aspire to have a career in the technology field, molding the future through software and a collaboration between man, machines, and code. I want to solve problems and help people with technology, while also being creative, and have technology and the arts be equal parts of my life. I appreciate the arts, visual and linguistic. I wish I could draw, and want to learn how to, or at least progress beyond stick figures. I love reading and writing, and would love to be a published author or screenwriter. I also have had the privilege of traveling the world, and am a cat lady in the making. I currently have a kitten, Simba, and a cat named Alia, who graces my profile picture. Winning scholarships from this site would be meaningful for me, since it would allow me to pursue my higher education with as little debt as possible, granting me more freedom financially once I graduate, and more to give back to others. I'm excited for the opportunities this site can give me, and to go to college and make a difference!
