I am currently a transfer student at University of Illinois at Chicago. After completing two years of community college at Moraine Valley, I have learned a lot about myself and what I can achieve. I took random classes, not aware of what I wanted out of life or school. I thought I was wasting my time learning Earth Science and Literature. I kept going back and forth on various majors, feeling scared I couldn't find my passion. That was until my friend suggested Computer Science. Taking an Intro to Computer Science challenged my thought-process. It made me passionate on solving any problem thrown at me. I had to learn things completely different, as this is a subject you need to learn on a consistent basis. As I enter my third of school, I know I will focus on researching how computer science, the environment, and fashion work together. With the fashion industry being one of the main polluting industries that harm the environment. My goal is to help solve a problem occuring, and I want to help those understand how the fashion industry can change to help the environment by using data and algorithms in Computer Science.
