Randy Hoang is a first-generation college student, U.S. Army National Guard Captain, and future dentist with a strong commitment to service and community leadership. Born in Iowa to immigrant parents from Vietnam, he developed resilience and responsibility at an early age while navigating financial hardship and language barriers. Randy has extensive experience in emergency dental care and has volunteered at Mission of Mercy clinics in both Iowa and North Carolina. He also serves in multiple community outreach initiatives focused on healthcare access, food security, and patient support. Through his military leadership and healthcare service, he is dedicated to advancing equitable care, mentoring first-generation students, and building inclusive community-based dental programs.
