    Thomas Mashig Foundation Scholarship
Ever since I was a young boy, I have dreamed of being a welder. I plan to attend Missouri Welding Institute in Nevada Missouri starting in June after graduating high school. I have been preparing for this since I was a little kid, following my grandfather, and uncle steps and continuing the family farm and welding has been a lifelong dream. My uncle and grandfather are a side job welder and full-time farmers. my mother is a single parent and works long hours as a registered nurse. She has taught me that nothing is handed to you. It requires hard work and determination to succeed in this world. Because of my family's low income with farming, I am one hundred percent on my own for welding school. I am a hardworking young teen unlike most, I grew up around the farm taking care of cattle and bailing hay, I am eighteen and an excellent at trap shooter.  I am in the 4-H club with competition shooting. I live a busy life helping my family where I can around the farm. This shows that I'm not a blow off kid that is begging for money that will just blow it away. I am going to welding school to create a steady revenue so I can assemble a prospering career on my own.  I have been saving my money for welding school this whole time. This scholarship will help with books and other experiences I can put towards, as stated before my family has a low income and is unable to assist me. I wasn't expecting anything. I am not Entitled to anything my mother has worked for, only to what I earn. I have had the opportunity to work beside my grandfather and uncle welding on the farm. We have welded farm equipment, fences and many other things. At school I have been involved in welding projects in FFA. As a young teen I lack the work experience I need to pursue my career in welding. I hope in receiving this scholarship I can further my knowledge and experience in welding.  To secure a challenging position as a Welder where I can utilize my skills and experience in welding to contribute to the success of the organization. My future goals for welding is to seek a welder position with a reputable company that offers an opportunity for growth and advancement. To obtain a Welder role with an established organization that values hard work and dedication. Looking for an entry-level welder position to gain valuable experience in the field. To work as a Welder in an environment that encourages professional development. Aiming to join a team of skilled welders as a welder, utilizing my knowledge and experience in welding techniques. Seeking employment as a Welder to further develop my skills and knowledge in welding processes. To obtain employment as a Welder with an organization that provides opportunities for career advancement. Desire to work as a welder for an established company where I can apply my welding abilities and knowledge. To be part of an esteemed organization as a Welder, utilizing my expertise in welding techniques and processes.
