Fueled by my personal experiences and academic interests, I have developed an interest in practicing neurology as a physician and even taking on clinical research. In my 1st generation Nigerian household, I am the eldest of 4 children, who will likely also pursue a 4-year degree. This is a financial consideration that I have had to weigh into my decision to further my education. My goal of pursuing a medical degree thus also presents a significant financial strain. Therefore seeking financial assistance through the scholarships presented would allow me to dedicate more time and energy to my studies and extracurricular goals.
