Hello my name is Poppy and I plan to go into the electrical field! I have an associate of arts and science from Whatcom Community College and I plan to attend Bellingham Technical College beginning in 2026 to complete their electrical program. I love doing hands-on work either artistically, problem solving or helping others. I value a strong work ethic and kindness. I have maintained good grades in high school and college staying focused on learning and reaching my goals. I want a career that provides comfort, stability and safety for individuals as well as communities. I believe that becoming an electrician will provide that; while gaining life long skills that can be incorporated in other endeavors. I am interested in working with renewable energy like solar and wind in the future because I think those are the next steps that we need to take to reuse the resources we have. I see a fulfilling career in helping others and perhaps changing the way we think about how and when we use energy.
