The next phase in my life depends on my finding a real steady source of income. I need a college degree to make that possible. I changed my degree to Associate in Applied Science Digital Marketing. I will use what I learn about digital marketing to gain lasting employment and a steady income. It would be naïve to think I could use Digital Marketing to change the world, but it would be nice if it helped pave the way. Someday I would like to start a non-profit that helps homeless and low-income people train their dogs to be well-behaved good citizens; so maybe one less dog is sent away because they were misunderstood, so one less family must choose between housing and their dog, between feeding their kid and feeding their dog, so that one less companion dog is outside without protection from the elements. I want to help change the narrative around pet ownership. I want to help people help animals. When you train a dog, you save a dog…. but like my daughter likes to say, “that’s a story for another day.”

Bold Motivation Scholarship
Everyday I am motivated to continue moving forward by my drive to see change in the world. You can guarantee that change will occur; its up to us as citizens of this great planet, to make the decisions that will support the greater good.
I am motivated to see change in our world in many diffrent places but mostly, I am motivated to change the idea that pets are property. Currently, the animals that most people say are family members are considered property under the law. I truly believe that our family pets deserve better than this.
