Through out my life I have always been so, so focused on soccer. I have played for so many years of my life and have been through so much during this time. I have my ups of winning trophies and sscoring goals, but have also had many lows, like when getting hurt my senior year of club soccer and missing the first half. Now even though I have had these moments I have still always madee sure to stay focussed and to not let my self down and from that I learned a lot. I learned how to be discipline, how to be a leader, how to keep pushing, and also the value of the community through my friends and coaches. So as someone who is going into a business major I plan to take full advantage of that entirely, and empower young athletes with the knowledge I know and am still gaining. I want to do this by providing them with the mentorship, the training, and the opportunities to get these kids to their full potentials on and off the field.
Right now, I have already began taking the first steps in that direction of that vison. I have already helped a lot of kids with training in my area, especially the ones that may have needed it more than others, weather that be with soccer or maybe outside of it, I have used it to help them grow. I try to focus these trainings not just on getting better on that pitch but also to encourage them to develop their mindsets. Many younger players tend to look up to the older kids like me, and I like to take that responsibility very deeply. I don't just want them to see me as some kid at practice, I want to help them believe in them selves, because that can matter so much at such a young age.
Once I am in college, I want to continue mentoring youth athletes through coaching and volunteering programs while I build a strong foundation in business. I want to learn how to mange a business, people and resources, and create an impact. I want to start and soccer focused training center or a non-profit organization that blends sports developments with life and school. I want to create a place where kids can train, learn about teamwork and leadership, but also get guidance about schools, careers, and even entrepreneurship.
I think that sports have the power to really chance the lives of kids. I have experienced and witnessed a ton of kids who have improved substantially from having someone who can properly help them. I have also seen a number of kids, talented kids, give up because they just did not have the right support to help them. I want to fill that, not just with the training in soccer that we provide, but by building a community and focusing on long term success in or out of soccer.
Now my passion in soccer and interest in business can go hand in hand. Business can provide the tools to scale my ideas and reach more people, while soccer gives me the purpose behind it. by combining both, I want to create something that lasts, a positive environment where young people can grow as not just athletes but as individuals.
