I have been a Registered Nurse since 2017. I worked on a medical-detox unit for several years at a Level 1 trauma center in the Southside of Chicago. I worked thereafter on the Chemical Dependency Team to help patients struggling with substance use. I now work as an assistant nursing manager on an inpatient psychiatric unit. I'm currently in school to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner where I hope to further specialize in addiction medicine and help those in need from the most marginalized fringes of society.
