What Are Your Personal Goals and Aspirations in the Trades, and How Will this Scholarship Help You Achieve those Goals? As a current HVAC student, one of my personal goals in the trade is to have a job that I enjoy doing since I am the kind of person who likes hands-on activities and finding solutions to problems. Another goal I would like to achieve is to get better financial stability; hence, I would provide my family with a better quality of life. For instance, a stable economy can lead me to get a house for my wife and future children, as well as support my parents financially. In the short term, after completing the program, I want to get a job in the field where I can put into practice what I have learned during these classes. I would like to enter a company where I dive deeper into heating, ventilation, and cooling without neglecting any of them. In the long term, one of my aspirations is to continue my learning in the trade by getting more knowledge about building automation systems. This is the part of HVAC that is catching my attention, and I am interested the most due to the fact that I feel like I would enjoy finding better and more efficient solutions using advanced controllers and sensors. On the other hand, I would like to have my own service company. I love giving solutions to people, and in my opinion, the best way of doing it is creating my own company and this way being involved in the whole process of servicing the customer. This scholarship will help me get closer to my personal and professional goals, as it will allow me to continue paying for my tuition. At this moment of my life, I am unable to afford the full amount of the program due to different circumstances. I am from the Dominican Republic and recently moved to the United States to start living with my wife. This change in my life has been a challenging situation because I am now reinventing myself within an environment with a different culture and customs, and the first step I chose to start doing it is to get an education in a field that I know I will enjoy doing. Therefore, the chance of receiving aid for my studies fills me with hope and encourages me more to keep giving my best in order to successfully complete the program. In the same manner, this scholarship will contribute to help me achieve another important goal, which is to get financial stability, because by getting this help I can reduce my loan account balance and will be able to shorten my loan installments. In conclusion, obtaining this scholarship will make a positive impact since it will allow me to have less financial stress while I focus even more on my training. It will also provide more support to help me achieve both my personal and professional goals, like helping my family and being closer to establish a strong and solid career in the HVAC field, and I hope all my aspirations can be transformed into a reality.
