Hello, everyone! My name is Paula! How I would describe myself to my scholarship donors would be independent and caring. For me, these aren’t just adjectives that can be searched up on google… but these adjectives are characteristics of myself that I love most! My independence shines through by being a self-empowering woman and sharing that self-love with those around me. In my Mexican household, I was always told to dream big, “si se puede!”. And you better believe that I hooked onto that saying and ran with it! I dreamt big, and now have the goal to further my education at a university studying occupational therapy. While this goal may seem small to others, I know that my goal is the dream my parents wanted for me when they landed here in America. I am proud of this goal, and with the help of gracious donors, I will be able to achieve it, for my family and myself. Thank you for considering me as a scholarship candidate!
