I've challenged myself academically in high school by first partaking in Marching Band for all 4 years of my high school career. Marching Band is an activity that requires a lot of dedication in the forms of constant rehearsals every Mondays and Thursday that last from 5-9 PM, as well as various competitions throughout the fall semester at various high schools in the SoCal region. Furthermore, we start our activities and preparing for our fall season as early in the summer with our band fundamentals and band camp, which are both activities that are mandatory and last 2 weeks towards the end of summer. Along with this, in the spring I would take PCC Courses that would range for several weeks towards the end of school. The PCC Courses that I took were both Social Psychology and Psychology 1, and both had the level of work and dedication from any college level course at PCC. In this case in the spring I would also have to manage for the AP season as well as finishing and preparing for my PCC finals with both these courses. Lastly in my senior year I would work on the yearbook as a copy editor. Under this role I would manage the work load of fellow staffers and as well as editing the work that we produce and write in the yearbook.
