My name is Patricia Sanchez. I am 22 years old. I am a silversmith. I started this journey when I was 17 years old. Everything started when I was living in Venezuela and decided to assist in a workshop on imitation jewelry, and I loved it. I wanted to learn more, so I started doing some research and discovered that people can make jewelry with precious metals by hand and not by machine. Finally, in all that research I found a humble school of jewelry where I learned how to cast metals, set stones, polish, repair jewelry, and more. I moved to The United States almost four years ago, and I am still creating jewelry. I have my small studio, and each day I learn more techniques. I have created a small brand called PSJoyas; I have a website and social media. I do not sell too much jewelry because I do not manage the business very well, but I have loyal customers that always say, “god bless your hands” and it motivates me. I am hoping to acquire the skills and knowledge to own a business, which is why I would like to study business management. I seek the capability to manage the finances, marketing, human resources, production, creation, and design of the company.
