NomineeBio
My name is Paris Ross, I am 16 years old, and I am a sophomore in high school. I have started to apply for scholarships now, because I don't want to wait until the last minute, and then hope for the best. I figured it was better to get this out of the way so that when the time comes for me to start applying for colleges, I am prepared.

Bold Goals Scholarship
My number one goal for the future is to be happy. I want to live a life where there is zero stress and things to worry about. I want to wake up in a good mood, and go to sleep in the same good mood I woke up in. Having to balance Chess Club, FBLA, Volleyball, school, and work has been very hard for me, and once I get financially stable in life, I plan to live the rest of my days being happy. I want to be spontaneous some days, and lazy the others. Having to always live by the same schedule every day, week, month and year is not only exhausting, but boring too. I don't want to have to worry about money and budgeting, I just want to be free.
Bold Selfless Acts Scholarship
I am committed to being selfless because I know what it feels like to think that no one cares about you or is trying to help you. As someone that has struggled with mental health issues, I think it's very important to check in on people, even if you don't know them. Even just telling someone regularly how much they mean to you and how much you appreciate them is good.
Bold Mental Health Awareness Scholarship
As someone that struggles with mental health, I think that reminding myself of the good things in my life is a good way to help someone. Whenever I am going through one of my depression waves, I tend to remember the good times that I've had with my little sister, friends, and boyfriend. Thinking of these things reminds me that I have someone/ something to live for. I have tried to do therapy maybe 3 or 4 times in my life, and it's never worked. I don't know if it's because I just haven't found the right therapist, or maybe because therapy just isn't for me, but thinking of the good things in my life has really helped me get through some of my toughest days, even though it's not a permanent fix.
