Hi, my name is Oscar, I'm a 17-year-old Hispanic with a passion for hands-on work. I am pursuing a diverse skillset that includes Electrician, Carpentry, Plumbing, Linemen, and Solar Panel Technician. I'm ready to take on the world of trades. Growing up, I was always interested in the inner workings of homes and buildings, which led to a passion of fixing and building things. With a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn, I'm very excited to pursue a career in the trades and make a positive impact in the industry. When not working, I enjoy working out, spending time researching my entrepreneurial interests, and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Oscar Lopez, and I am a 17-year-old Hispanic who enjoys learning and working with my hands. Growing up with a single mother taught me early on the importance of hard work and determination. I have always been fascinated by how things function and how they are put together. I used to disassemble toys and appliances as a kid just to see how they worked. This natural interest eventually led me to pursue an education in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) studies.
I picked the A/E/C career path because it combines my passion for manual labor with my drive to learn and progress. I intend to pursue degrees in several professions, including Electrician, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpenter, Lineman, and Solar Panel Technician. My ambition is to have a well-rounded education that will enable me to be versatile in the industry and tackle any challenge that comes my way. Because the A/E/C sector is continuously expanding and growing, there are always new techniques and technologies to learn. I am prepared to be a part of an industry dedicated to making the world a better place by developing safe, sustainable, and creative buildings and infrastructure.
Additionally, I am also driven to make a difference in my community by using my abilities to enhance the lives of others around me. I would like to be a role model for other young people who may feel like they do not have many chances or feel as if they cannot follow their true passion. By demonstrating to them that everything is achievable with hard work and devotion, I believe they can become motivated and have someone to look to when choosing their next path. In addition to my enthusiasm for the A/E/C field, I am dedicated to maintaining a good work ethic and being a dependable and productive future employee. I realize that construction work may be physically demanding and demands a high degree of attention to detail and safety. I am willing to put in the effort and devotion required to succeed in this industry and make a meaningful contribution to each project I work on.
To summarize, my history as a Hispanic with a single mother, my love of learning, and my desire to work with my hands have all led me to pursue an education in the A/E/C field. I am more than eager to begin this journey and am looking forward to the challenges and possibilities that await me.
