Bio

As a first-generation student and daughter of Polish immigrants, I’ve learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and gratitude from an early age. I’m currently a high school junior with a 4.0 GPA, taking AP Psych, AP Lang, AP Chemistry, and AP Macro. Balancing a rigorous course load with marching band leadership and a part-time job has taught me discipline and resilience. I work 12-16 hours a week as a cashier and serve as the brass section leader in marching band. I’ve been playing instruments since third grade. (Alto Saxophone for 8 years, French Horn/Mellophone for 3) Fluent in both Polish and English, I earned the Seal of Biliteracy my freshman year and have attended Polish school every Friday since kindergarten. My bilingualism and cultural background have shaped my empathy and communicatio, skills I plan to bring into my future career in pediatrics. I have a deep love for children and aspire to become a pediatric nurse, whether in oncology, as a floater nurse, or in any role that allows me to care for young patients. As an older sister, student, and leader, I strive to be a positive role model and a source of encouragement for others. My dream is to attend a small college in a cozy, close-knit town somewhere that feels like fall all year round. Somewhere where I can continue to grow academically and personally while preparing to make a difference in children’s lives.

Dream career goals:
I'd love to become a floater nurse, pediatrician, labor and delivery nurse, or midwife. I want to work with children and create a tremendous impact on their lives. I'd love to work in a fast paced environment where each day is different and I can see firsthand the effect that my care and help is having on patients (specifically children). Advocating and actually helping children has been a dream of mine since I was little. Providing comfort to children who may be sick, going through trouble at home, have rough home lives, etc is something I'm extremely passionate about. I was once them and never had a figure to look up to, so I'd love to be someone for children to look up to. They're our future and they deserve the world.
